MYSTVALE
Pick a faction. Fight for it.
WHAT IS MYSTVALE
Mystvale is a free, browser-based PVP arena by Orivex Systems, built by one developer. No downloads, no installs — just open the page and fight. Twelve classes across four warring factions, nine battlegrounds, a full competitive ranked ladder from Iron to Mythic, and game modes from 1v1 to 5v5 Warband, a 3v3 Conquest objective mode, plus a cooperative boss raid.
Every class plays differently. Every match feels different. The ranked system is fully server-authoritative — no host advantage, no exploits, just skill. And it all runs in your browser, on any device.
"The best browser PVP game ever made. We're getting there — one patch at a time."
Mystvale is set in the world of Indithar, a fictional fantasy setting. Its peoples, beliefs, powers, magic systems, and cosmology are part of the story world and are not intended as religious claims about reality.

→ PlayWarband 2v2–5v5
Build a party, queue together, fight as a unit. Up to five players per side. Full server sim.
→ PlayConquest 3v3

→ PlayCHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER
Twelve champions, three per faction. Each has a passive that rewrites a rule of engagement. None is a remix.
"Outlast everyone. Then outlast them again."
"The gap between us is exactly where you die."
"You were dead the moment I understood you."
"Strike from the dark. They never see it coming."
"Restraint is not weakness. Ask anyone who's faced my wrath."
"Every hit charges the end of this fight."
"I will pay any price. I intend to survive long enough to enjoy it."
"The rage doesn't stop. Neither do I."
"Stack judgment. Bring it down."
"The wall that punishes the charge."
"Pick a victim. The contract is signed."
"You will not fight alone. You will not fight outnumbered."
FOUR FACTIONS. ONE ARENA.
Each faction has a philosophy. Each philosophy shapes how its champions fight. Pick the truth you believe in.
Human
"I don't need chaos. I outlast you."
Undead
"You were dead the moment I understood you."
Celestial
"You mistake restraint for kindness."
Demon
"I will pay any price — I intend to survive long enough to enjoy the reward."
SEVEN ARENAS. SEVEN THREATS.
Every banner here hangs the arena exactly as it renders in game — captured from the running client, not painted for the brochure. Terrain and hazards rewrite the fight each time. Two more — the vast team battlegrounds of Conquest — hang in their own hall below.
Ruined Courtyard
The proving ground. Open space, symmetric pillars, no hazards — pure mechanics.
Standard Survey the Courtyard →Sacred Temple
Tight corridors and choke points. Melee owns the close; ranged must own the angles.
Tactical Survey the Temple →Frozen Arena
Ice cuts traction by 75%. Every dash, knockback and stray step carries too far.
Ice Hazard Survey the Frozen Arena →Infernal Pit
Lava veins cross the floor — 3 damage every 300ms. Positioning is the whole fight.
Lava Damage Survey the Infernal Pit →The Crucible
A storm closes from every side. Hold the centre or bleed 4 a tick until nothing is left.
Shrinking Zone Survey the Crucible →Embergrave
Buried coals breathe: 1.5s blazing, 2.5s dormant. Dash on the beat or burn for it.
Pulsing Cinders Survey Embergrave →Verdant Spire
Steady wind pushes you every frame. Projectile lanes drift, knockbacks compound.
Wind Currents Survey the Verdant Spire →REAL FOOTAGE · FOUR FACTIONS
Recorded straight from the game. No edits. No cinematics. Just the combat.
CONQUEST · HOLD THE LINE
The newest way to fight — a 3v3 objective mode where ground is everything. Capture, hold, and break their warband.
Form a party of three, pick Conquest, and the queue drops your warband onto a vast lane-built battleground. Three control points sit between the bases — each its own sticky tug-of-war. Hold more than the enemy and your score climbs; the first warband to break the threshold takes the round.
It rewards rotation and map-sense over raw aim — overcommit to one point and you lose the other two. And the points are only half the map: neutral camps, a world boss and a contested boon all sit in the space between them. Same fully server-authoritative simulation as ranked: no host advantage, no exploits, free. New to it? Drill the mode solo against bots first.
Riftway Hollow
Three lanes, three hearts — hold the Rift at the center and the flanking spires to break their warband.
Center-swing · 3 points
The Warroad
Three holds, one road — seize your share and deny their rotation. Mind the cinders in the gaps.
Split-push · 3 pointsThree points decide the score. What sits between them decides the fight.
The Jungle of the Hollow
Neutral camps prowl the hollows off-lane. Clear one and it pays out Warspoils to your whole warband — and a personal boon to whoever lands the kill. Farming them is the human's edge; the bots won't.
Warspoils · Personal boon
The Epic
Ninety seconds in, a tyrant wakes at the heart of the map — telegraphed slams, a phase break at half health, and adds. The team that lands the killing blow takes the Mantle: more damage and faster scoring. Which means it can be stolen out from under you on the last hit.
The Mantle · Stealable
The Sovereign Wellspring
Late in the match a font of raw power arms at the centre of the map. Hold it uncontested and it grants your entire team a standing boon. Nobody wins a long Conquest without deciding what to do about it.
Late game · Team-wideCLIMB THE LADDER
Seven tiers. Two legendary milestones at the summit. Every match is a step forward — or proof of how far you've come.

Play FreeTHE HALL BETWEEN BATTLES
A browser game that doesn't feel like one. Every screen is a lit room you walk into — and your champion is standing in it.
Home is a hall, not a menu. Your champion stands on the dais under their order's banner, with the vault, your loadout, your deeds and the Valdris raid all one step away.
Choose from a lit colonnade — every ability, cooldown and passive laid out before you commit.
Every mode behind one gate — ranked, Warband, Conquest, private lobbies, or training with no stakes.

THE WORLD OF MYSTVALE
n age ago, a kingdom of scholars tried to outwit death — and tore the world open instead.
Their great working held, and it failed. Death was undone for them; a wound was opened in everything else. Through that rift poured the hunger that became the Abyssal Pact, and the scholars who tore it were left preserved, sleepless and cold — the Hollow Court. From that day the world has been bleeding, and slowly fading, ever since.
Four orders rose to answer the long unmaking, and none of them agree. The Iron Covenant holds that survival is the only proof worth having — they have buried their dead and rebuilt their walls more times than their chroniclers can count. The Hollow Court keeps the long view, certain that only patience and kept knowledge can mend what was broken. The Divine Order descended to correct it — radiant, exacting, merciful to no one. And the Abyssal Pact decided the question itself was a waste of time, and simply takes what it wants.
Four orders. Four answers. No compromise.
The Arena was raised because the wars never end. Here they are settled in the open — twelve champions, one ground, and victory the only currency that counts. Every match is the war in miniature. Every fall is an argument.
A NEW ENEMY APPROACHES
The arena is the proving ground. Beyond it, something older waits.

LATEST UPDATES
It opens in a third of the time
- The client used to fetch its code in 68 single-file round trips before a frame could draw: 11 seconds on a desktop, 34 on a slow phone. That is about 3 seconds now, and 10
- One match could push the tab past 800 MB of decoded audio and take it down with it. The cache is capped; a long session now sits near 120 MB
- The seven banners on this page are no longer paintings of the arenas — each one is a frame taken out of the running client, hazards lit and all
Conquest, complete — the map fights back
- The Jungle of the Hollow — neutral camps between the lanes, each paying Warspoils and a personal boon to whoever clears it
- The Epic — a colossal neutral tyrant wakes mid-match; the team that lands the killing blow claims the Mantle. It can be stolen at the last second
- The Sovereign Wellspring, the Reliquary relic shop, a full Tab scoreboard, and bots that finally play the objective instead of just brawling
Your champion, made flesh — and given a voice
- Every champion now stands full-body across the whole client — the hall, the vault, champion select, the match-found duel, the verdict
- All twelve champions speak: a unique voice and signature line for each, on top of a voiced Valdris and a battle herald
- The audio engine rebuilt — real crossfades between tracks, a limiter on stacked combat sound, music that follows the map
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Everything you need to know before your first match.
What is Mystvale PVP Arena?
Mystvale is a free dark-fantasy browser PvP game. Twelve classes fight across four warring factions in a fully server-authoritative ranked arena. No download — open mystvale.org and play immediately. Modes: ranked 1v1, Warband 2v2–5v5, custom lobbies, and a cooperative boss raid against Valdris, the Hollow Sovereign.
Is Mystvale free? Is it pay to win?
Completely free, and zero pay-to-win. No subscriptions, no gameplay-affecting purchases. Six classes — Warrior, Archer, Sentinel, Hexblade, Necromancer, and Inquisitor — are free from day one. The other six unlock through gameplay milestones or with in-game gold earned by playing. Premium cosmetics (Auras and Titles) are visual-only, drop from boss raids or the cosmetic shop, and never affect combat.
Do I need to download or install anything?
Nothing. Open mystvale.org in your browser and start playing immediately. No launcher, no plugins, no app store — just the game in the tab you already have open.
What devices and browsers work?
Any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari. Works on desktop, laptop, mobile, and tablet. Mobile has full touch controls: a virtual joystick on the left and ability buttons on the right. You can also install Mystvale as an app — "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone, or a one-tap install on Android — and it launches full-screen like a native app.
What classes are in Mystvale?
Twelve classes across four factions — three per faction. Human Iron Covenant: Warrior, Archer, Sentinel. Undead Hollow Court: Lich, Rogue, Necromancer. Celestial Divine Order: Paladin, Divine Mage, Inquisitor. Demon Abyssal Pact: Warlock, Axeman, Hexblade. Each has a unique passive ability, a full ability set including an ultimate, and a tier-3 mastery perk that rewrites a rule of engagement.
How does the ranked system work?
Ranked 1v1 uses a fully server-authoritative queue — identical simulation for both players, no host advantage. Climb Iron → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond → Master. Reach 250 LP in Master for Grandmaster; 500 LP for Mythic.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Warband mode lets you build a party of 2–5 and queue together against a matching team — full server simulation. Custom lobbies let you create a private room, share a code, and invite anyone. Guests don't need an account.
What is Conquest mode?
Conquest is Mystvale's 3v3 objective mode — LoL-style Domination. Your warband fights to capture and hold three control points across two large lane-built battlegrounds, Riftway Hollow and The Warroad. Hold more points than the enemy to climb the score; the first team to break the threshold wins. Between the points sits the rest of the map: neutral jungle camps that pay out Warspoils and personal boons, an Epic world boss whose Mantle goes to whoever lands the killing blow (so it can be stolen), a Sovereign Wellspring that arms late and grants a team-wide boon, and the Reliquary — an in-match relic shop you buy from with the gold you earn in the fight. Dead players respawn on a timer, so it plays continuously rather than in rounds. It runs on the same fully server-authoritative simulation as ranked. New to it? Drill the mode solo against bots first.
Is there a Mystvale Discord?
Yes — strategy talk, patch notes, community events, and direct feedback to the developer. Join at discord.gg/RBGqS9j4Tp →
How many classes and maps are there?
12 classes and 7 hazard arenas: Courtyard (standard), Temple (tight corridors), Frozen (reduced traction), Infernal (lava that deals damage every 300ms), Crucible (a shrinking storm zone), Embergrave (pulsing cinders — 1.5s on / 2.5s off), and Verdant Spire (wind currents that push you across the arena). Each map changes how you have to play — plus two large team battlegrounds for the 3v3 Conquest mode, Riftway Hollow and The Warroad.
Who made Mystvale?
Mystvale is made by Orivex Systems — which is still one developer. No publisher, no funding round. Just code, coffee, and a belief this can be the best browser PvP game ever made. Orivex Systems also makes Vampire Feast, a multiplayer .io bloodbath, and Indithar, the shared world both games are set in. You can support development at ko-fi.com/mystvalepvp →
