v5.56 — The Nine Rooms
August 2026
The gauntlet runs nine rooms now — and it counts you. Five of the six old chambers sent exactly as many monsters at a full party as at a lone champion, so bringing friends made the Court easier rather than larger. Every room now answers the number of you who walked in.
The Sovereign can be failed. Valdris's last twelve percent is a fight of its own rather than a formality, and he announces what he is about to cast instead of simply casting it. There is also only ever one of him now.
Three new monsters, each asking the party a different question, and three new Hollow Boons — the first two written for a party rather than for a soloist.
The bestiary moves. Every unit in the Court swings instead of sliding, the Bone Warden, the Hollow Weaver and the Crypt Stalker have faces rather than being coloured discs, and all of them now stand at one size on one ground line.
A disconnect no longer ends the run — the party fights on, and a returning champion now finishes rejoining instead of stopping half-way.
Riftway Hollow has become the Rift: three lanes, three towers, corner bases, and a jungle entrance to each lane. The river has banks, so it can be found at all — it used to be a gradient on the floor with nothing to say where it began or what it was.
Cover is shared. What one champion sees from a bush the whole team now sees, where before an ally standing in the same brush was blind. And your own half of the map could be painted in the enemy's colour — blue is always yours now.
The bots have options again. They no longer walk into a corner and stop, or stand in fire while they fight you; against a retreating player they land about half again as much damage as they used to.
v5.55 — The Doors Open Faster
August 2026
The game opens in a third of the time. Mystvale loads sixty-eight separate pieces of itself, and it had been fetching them one after another — most of the wait was not weight, it was queueing. They now come at once: on a middling connection the last piece lands after three seconds instead of eleven, and on a slow phone after ten instead of thirty-four. Nothing about the game changed; it simply stopped making you wait for it.
The hall is legible again. A notice meant for guests was printing itself straight across the bottom row of the War Hall — Challenges, Leaderboard, Friends, History, Profile — on a good many laptop screens. The hall already says its piece in the middle of the room, so the notice has stepped aside there, and everywhere it does still appear it is a solid bar instead of text laid over your buttons.
Quick Match no longer turns you away in silence. Choosing it without an account used to drop you on the sign-in page with no word of why. It now tells you what it needs, leaves you where you were, and points you at Training — which is a real fight, instantly, no account required.
v5.5 — The Warroad
July 2026
Conquest — a new objective 3v3 on two vast battlegrounds. Hold three points to score, and the round never stops: fall in battle and you return on a timer rather than waiting out the round.
The Hollow jungle — neutral camps worth Warspoils and a personal boon, a Sovereign Wellspring that arms mid-match, and an Epic that wakes at ninety seconds and grants its slayers the Mantle. Steal the killing blow and you steal all of it.
The Reliquary — spend your Warspoils mid-match on relics that reshape your champion. Press B, buy while you wait to respawn.
A client, not a menu — the game now opens on a title sequence into the Runic War Hall, and every room beyond it is lit and staged: the Hall of Champions, the Vault, the Wall of Ascendants, and Valdris enthroned over his Court of Withered Crowns. Your champion stands in them, full-bodied, the way you fight them.
Every champion speaks — twelve newly recorded voices, one for each, answering when you take up their banner. Music now crosses between tracks instead of cutting.
Ranked is normalized — purchased upgrades are set aside so a match is decided by skill and draft, not by who has ground more gold. Before the gate drops you glimpse your opponent's doctrine and get a window to retune against it.
The arena fills your screen — every match now adapts to your monitor edge to edge, with a tighter combat camera. A bigger screen shows more of the world's edges; it never magnifies the fight.
v5.3 — The Vault Awakens
June 2026
The menus breathe — the Runic Vault: rising runes, aurora ribbons, god-rays and a hearth glow now live behind every screen, and each wing of the vault carries its own color of light.
Living Maps — per-map weather, drifting cloud shadows, and arena events unfold while you fight.
The arena found its voice — 21 newly recorded combat and match sound effects replace the old synthesized set.
True fullscreen — native-resolution rendering on desktop with adaptive quality that calibrates itself to your machine.
Class cards across class select and queue now bear their faction's colors — steel, shadow, gold, and crimson.
The Chronicler's Wing — Match History is an illuminated battle chronicle, Spectate a gallery of scrying pools, and Casual Lobbies a muster board.
v5.2 — The Painted Codex
May 2026
A painted backdrop now frames the home and login screens — the eclipse rises, statues kneel, the rune circle glows beneath the PLAY plaque.
New MystVale wordmark logo on every screen, larger and gilt.
Faction banners, sigils, titlecards, and rank icons fully painted — Iron Covenant steel, Hollow Court shadow, Divine Order gold, Abyssal Pact crimson.
Mythic rank icon shipped — the ladder is complete: Iron → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond → Master → Grandmaster → Mythic.
Class portraits replaced with painted icons across queue, profile, kill feed, and match-end.
Every menu glyph rebuilt as inline SVG — no more emoji rendering across browsers.

v4 — The Sovereign Wakes

Co-op Raid v3 — Valdris, the Hollow Sovereign rules the Court of Withered Crowns. Six chambers, three boss phases, server-authoritative.
Four new champions joined the roster: Inquisitor (Celestial), Sentinel (Human), Hexblade (Demon), Necromancer (Undead). Twelve classes now, three per faction.
Two new arenas — Embergrave (cinder pulses 1.5s on, 2.5s off) and Verdant Spire (wind drift hazard). Seven maps total.
Wave 1–4 class kits shipped — Stance Swap, Charged Barrage, Arcane Vortex, Covenant Amplifier, Aegis Aura, Command Mode, and more.

The short version
We set no cookies. We run no advertising and no tracking. Your save and settings are kept on your own device because that is how a game works. Nothing else is stored unless you sign in.
If you sign in
We store your display name, your email (used only to sign you in — never shown publicly, never sold), and your game progress: wins, kills, XP, rank, unlocks. Ranked results appear on the public leaderboard under your display name. All of it lives in Google Firebase. Playing as a guest? Nothing leaves your device.
Multiplayer
While you are in a match, your class, your inputs and a session ID are processed by the relay server so the match can run. It is discarded when the match ends.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Delete My Account & Data in Settings wipes everything immediately — you do not need to ask us. Questions: privacy@mystvale.org. You may complain to the Swedish authority, IMY (imy.se).
Children
Mystvale is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
