The Hollow Court

An age ago, the Court’s scholars tried to outwit death — and tore the world open instead. Their working held and it failed: they were left preserved, sleepless and cold, keeping their minds and their accumulated knowledge but losing warmth and the passage of time. They do not hate the other orders. They simply keep the long view, certain that only patience and kept knowledge can mend what was broken.

Their champions fight with the patience of the already-dead: the Lich reads your kit before you finish casting, the Rogue strikes from where you cannot see, and the Necromancer raises what falls.
